Santa Visits Oakland!

The holiday season is in full swing! After 18 years of photographing families, I finally had the chance this month to professionally capture Santa while he welcomed lots of visitors. Nothing could beat the laughter and fun expressions as I snapped photos of children, adults, families, and even pets sharing their holiday dreams with the Jolly Old Elf.

As a volunteer at Historic Oakland Cemetery, I was excited when asked to photograph Santa sessions during their annual Holiday Spirit festival. Thanks to Santa Danny, we spread some festive magic in the new Oakland Vistor Center and photographed 68 families!

Holiday Spirit featured a sparkling winter wonderland complete with a community tree lighting, performances by the Atlanta Youth Symphony, falling snow, and plenty of holiday cheer. Here are some highlights from this year’s joyful visits with Santa—smiles, happiness, and even a little Christmas blessing.
