The past six months have been a true diamond in my professional life! In September 2025, during the Georgia Professional Photographers Association Awards Ceremony, I received several prestigious awards. My competition images received 1st place honors and my image Afternoon Dahlia Delight earned Overall Best In Show. The images earning awards are special to me as they feature flowers I've grown, places I've traveled, and new photographic art techniques. As 2025 comes to a close, I've been reflecting on the year I experienced in nature. I was so fortunate to witness a Barred Owlette fledge its nest, a woodpecker feeding its little one, a mother Humpback Whale and its calf breaching off the coast of Hawaiʻi and to meet injured wildlife at a local rehab center.From my backyard and across the ocean, I witnessed some of nature's most amazing miracles! Santa Visits Oakland! The holiday season is in full swing! After 18 years of photographing families, I finally had the chance this month to professionally capture Santa while he welcomed lots of visitors. Nothing could beat the laughter and fun expressions as I snapped photos of children, adults, families, and even pets sharing their holiday dreams with the Jolly Old Elf.As a volunteer at Historic Oakland Cemetery, I was excited when asked to photograph Santa sessions during their annual Holiday Spirit festival.
